Tiphaine Sculptural Pendant Cord Necklace
Six small gold shapes, one easy cord.
As Seen On
A molten square with a hole straight through it, hung on soft suede.
High-shine and substantial, with edges that ripple like the metal cooled mid-pour — no two angles catch the light the same way. The opening sits off-centre, so the cord passes through the pendant itself and lets it swing on its own weight.
Two colourways: gold on a deep brown cord, silver on black. The suede runs through a sliding knot with metal-capped ends, so you can wear it long over a shirt or pull it up to sit near the collarbone.
It does the work on its own — over a white shirt, a linen dress, or a plain knit in winter. No layering required.
One piece, and the outfit is finished.
Wear Tiphaine against bare skin and simple fabric. At this scale it is the outfit rather than an addition to it, so the styling decision is mostly what you leave off.
Layering is possible but it has to be done carefully: keep the second chain much finer and much shorter than Tiphaine, so it reads as a background note rather than a rival. Against a plain crew or scoop neck it is better on its own.
It is worn best with Henriette Triple-Band Hoop Earrings, Fantine Two-Tone Wave Ring and Vague Sculptural Wave Ring — plain metal and shape rather than sparkle. A cord piece and a stone-set one fight each other, so this pairing keeps to form and finish.
Free tracked shipping on orders over $125. Under that, a flat rate shown in your cart before you pay, never added at the last step. Orders leave within 2 business days and arrive in 5–10.
You have 30 days from your purchase date to request a return. The conditions are real and you should read them now rather than at the return form: return shipping is yours, a 25% restocking fee applies, one claim per customer, on a first-time full-price order. Sale-priced items are excluded; discount-code orders remain eligible.
There isn't any, and that's the point. Shower in it, swim in it, sweat in it, sleep in it. Chlorine, salt water and sanitizer are all fine.
The one honest limit: perfume, hairspray, body oil and nail polish remover dull any finish over time, ours included. Apply those first, jewelry second.
Size Guide
Two minutes and a piece of string. Then you never guess a size again.
Necklace Length Guide
Length decides everything about how a necklace sits — from a close choker to a long layering chain. Here's where our lengths fall on an average frame.
| Length | Style | Sits |
|---|---|---|
| 14″ (36 cm) | Collar | Right at the base of the neck |
| 16″ (41 cm) | Choker | At or just below the collarbone |
| 18″ (46 cm) | Princess | Below the collarbone — our most popular length |
| 20″ (51 cm) | Matinee | Top of the chest |
| 22–24″ (56–61 cm) | Matinee, long | Mid-chest |
| 28–30″ (71–76 cm) | Opera | Below the bust |
| 32″+ (81 cm+) | Opera, long / Rope | Upper abdomen and below |
How to choose your length
-
Start with what you own
Take a necklace you already reach for and measure it end to end — or lay a string around your neck where you'd like it to sit, then measure the string.
-
Think about layering
Two or three lengths at once sit best about 2" (5 cm) apart, so each chain has room to catch the light.
-
Consider your neckline
Crewnecks and turtlenecks take shorter chokers and princess lengths. V-necks and collared shirts leave room for matinee and opera lengths.
18" (princess length) is the one ordered most since 2023 — it sits just below the collarbone and layers with both shorter and longer pieces.
Many of the chains include a short extender near the clasp, giving you 1–2" (2.5–5 cm) either way. The product page lists the exact length and extender.
The placements above are for an average neck. A fuller or slimmer neck shifts where a length sits by roughly half an inch either way.

Cheaper is only cheaper the first time.
Costume jewelry is priced to be replaced, and most people replace it two or three times a year without ever adding it up. This is the other option.

The best thing it does is nothing at all.
This isn't a statistic, it's the pattern. What you're buying isn't a piece of jewelry so much as one fewer decision every morning.
