A starfish the size of your palm, in beaten gold.

Nothing about it is neat, and that is the point. The five arms sit at slightly different lengths, the surface is dimpled and rippled the way metal looks when it has been worked by hand, and a small spiral curls at the centre where a real sea star would have its mouth. Large to look at, light to wear.

The cord runs long. A sliding knot pulls it up towards the collarbone or lets it fall to the middle of the chest, with two bead-tipped tails resting at the back.
