Two strands, and a whole cast of little charms.

The upper strand is a fine cable chain dotted with tiny enamel beads in red, green, turquoise and coral. Below it runs a chain of slim gold tubes hung with charms all the way along: a seahorse at the centre, a crescent moon, a five-point star, a rayed sun, a pearl-finish drop and a handful of tumbled stone chips in grey, amber, lilac and sea green.

Both strands come joined as a single necklace, so the layered look fastens with one clasp and never tangles into itself.

It sits high on the collarbone and works best with bare shoulders — a bikini top, a slip dress, a summer tank.

Wear Marceline against bare skin and simple fabric. At this scale it is the outfit rather than an addition to it, so the styling decision is mostly what you leave off.

Layering is possible but it has to be done carefully: keep the second chain much finer and much shorter than Marceline, so it reads as a background note rather than a rival. Against a plain crew or scoop neck it is better on its own.
