Colombine Rectangle Stone Pendant Necklace

The pendant is a rectangular cabochon — polished smooth rather than faceted — seated in a gold bezel with softly clipped corners, so the outline reads as a small tablet instead of a plain rectangle. The chain is fine oval beadwork, which gives it more surface and more glint than a standard cable link.

Two stones to choose from. Turquoise is a soft, chalky sea-blue, clouded and mottled the way the real mineral is. Tiger's Eye is a warm caramel brown with bands of light that slide across the surface as your hand moves past it.

It settles just below the collarbone and layers neatly under a longer chain without tangling.

Wear Colombine through the summer and stop thinking about it. The natural stone does the work; keep the rest of what you are wearing as relaxed as the piece is.

Layering is possible but it has to be done carefully: keep the second chain much finer and much shorter than Colombine, so it reads as a background note rather than a rival. Against a plain crew or scoop neck it is better on its own.
